Wanted to update everyone on Redwood - her new family and home looks like it's turning out great. I was sent some pictures of her, which was very kind. And I became friends with her new "mom" on Facebook. She's got a HUGE back yard, and they're installing a doggy door.
All in all, it looks like everything turned out for the better. Definitely.
I'm still getting used to her being gone, like this morning when I almost said out loud, "Red hasn't been taken out yet this morning," but stopped myself, thinking it's just going to take some time.
What gets me through is Redwood's happy face. That makes me really glad.
